5th Grade News

The Middle School Enrollment Office will be hosting a series of virtual events for 5th grade elementary school families about middle school admissions. Each event will be virtual and will cover the same content, but different events will provide interpretation in different languages. Please join the virtual event to learn more about the middle school admissions process! 

 

  • Tuesday, October 17, 5pm – 6pm | Interpretation provided in: Bangla, Korean, Spanish 
  • Wednesday, October 18, 5pm – 6pm | Interpretation provided in: Chinese (Mandarin), Haitian Creole, Urdu
  • Thursday, October 19, 5pm – 6pm | Interpretation provided in: Arabic, French, Russian

Middle School Admissions - For NYC families of students entering middle school in fall 2023 
 
Families of current fifth-grade students are invited to join the Office of Student Enrollment for a live virtual information session about exploring your school options, applying to middle school, and using your MySchools.nyc account.

Middle School 137 now has a Dual Language Class!  All students (even if you are not zoned for M.S. 137) can inquire information with the understanding that it is a general education classroom with some content areas being taught in Spanish plus 2 Native Language (Spanish) classes twice a week. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of ELL students (Spanish language) can inquire as well. The program is most beneficial for transitional, expanding and commanding ELL students due to the fact it starts in 6th and not in elementary school.
